We’re very proud to announce the addition of D’Nelle Swagger to the Envato Support Team! She already has Envato experience under her belt as a Review Assistant and along with her roundhouse kicking skills, she’s sure to be a perfect fit in support.
She’s been kind enough to let us interview her and I hope you’re just as impressed with what D’Nelle can bring to the table as we are!
Let’s all give her a big Envato Community welcome!
Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions, D’Nelle. Please tell us a little about yourself.
Errr…will I stick out like a sore thumb? Here goes: I have a B.S. in Family Science and Psychology and have primarily worked in the realm of domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, developmental disability, medical marketing and non-profit administration. The opportunity to work for Envato was such a breath of fresh air; I’m constantly looking to develop different skills.
Where are you from and what’s your favorite thing about your city?
I’m a good Midwestern girl, having spent my formative years in Nebraska and South Dakota. I just moved from Salt Lake City, UT to Boulder, CO, and we split our time between there and Nashville, TN. Since I consider Denver to be “my city”, I could go on and on about the diversity, nightlife and quick exit to the mountains. What a beautiful spot.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies?
I’ve spent my free time as commissioner for marriage/relationship education and body combat and spinning instructor with recurring roles in music collaborations, design projects and fitness dvds. Now I am focusing on the arrival of our baby boy due in June, and planning a wedding sometime after. I hope to remember post-baby that I love to read, work out and drink Dark and Stormy’s.
Tell us about your home workspace.
I haven’t had one since November, so I am excited to finally transform a spare bedroom into an office. I like having gadgets, highly questionable comedic material and coffee close at hand. There’s a blank Post It note hanging up as a reminder of how my co-worker would mail them out to me individually to protest our old company’s ridiculous policies on conserving costs.
If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be and why?
I used to want the power to read people’s minds, but my career kind of killed that desire. Now I just focus on fitting into the outfit that Kate Beckinsale wears in Underworld and wreaking havoc through roundhouse kicks.
