Last month, Apple released Flashback fixes and removal tools for Lion and Snow Leopard accordingly. For those still using Apple’s Leopard, the patch was not available at that time. However, if you happen to be a Leopard user, you’re in luck.
Apple has issued a Leopard fix that comes with the same removal tool found in the other operating systems. In addition to that update, Apple also pushed a second 1.11 MB patch for Leopard that will disable versions of Adobe Flash Player that don’t have the required security updates.
Although the systems affected have not dropped significantly since last month’s updates, these fixes should help decrease the number of computers affected by the Flashback trojan a bit more. As always, it is encouraged to keep your computer up to the with the latest software.
